A Second Family

Supporting Club América isn’t just about being fans of the current Tricampeones in Mexico - it’s a full-on lifestyle. One that comes with many perks including an iconic stadium, and a world-class team, but the largest perk is the second family that it comes with. Supporting the club near or far, you can always count on finding an “Aguila”. This episode shows how the love for América has brought different generations of family closer together and provided a new meaning to the word “family” to our two main characters: Juanpa and Francisco.

Francisco, a charismatic LA native, tells us his experience with La Vieja Guardia, the local “banda” in Los Angeles that supports Club América and each other through thick and thin. No matter if it's as small as losing the match or as important as losing a loved one - this second family is here with you through it all.

Juanpa, an affable and energetic Mexico City local, describes how his grandfather raised him as an Americanista and the bond between them that is built around sharing beautiful moments together on matchdays. For both Águilas, this “Second Family” pushes them to give it all for the club in their own ways, no matter the distance between them.
