MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with CSD Xelajú MC hosting Sporting San Miguelito in the First Leg of their series in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

CSD Xelajú MC finished second in Group D with a 3-0-1 record. Jesús López is tied for second among all players with two assists and third with 11 chances, while Jorge Aparicio finished the Group Stage tied for first with 229 passes.

As a team, Xelajú was the fifth-highest scoring team in the Group Stage with nine goals, the fourth most effective with a 26% conversion rate, and the sixth most accurate team with an 80% pass completion.

 

 

Sporting San Miguelito was the first-place team in Group B with a 2-1-1 record. Marcos de León was the goalkeeper with the second most saves in the Group Stage with 19 stops.

The Sporting defense allowed two goals in its two opening bouts before posting a clean sheet during the team’s three-match unbeaten run to start its campaign and book a place in the Quarter Finals.
