BELMOPAN, Belize – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with Deportivo Saprissa securing a 2-1 win over Verdes FC in Group C on Tuesday at FFB Stadium in Belmopan, Belize.

The visitors pulled ahead in the 2’ in its first attack, with Deyver Vega finding the back of the net with a left-footed finish from close range. Orlando Sinclair provided the assist on the opening goal.

Bryan Lozano leveled the scoring for Verdes right before the half, in the 45+4’, scoring with a right-footed hit to the bottom-left corner from the center of the box. Nahjib Guerra delivered the assist from the left flank.  

Saprissa reclaimed the lead in the 52’ through Sinclair, who capped off a standout performance with a goal and an assist. The forward struck with a first-time left footed finish to the far post after receiving a line-splitting ball from Jefferson Brenes.

Verdes will visit CA Independiente next Thursday as action in the Central American Cup continues. Saprissa’s next CCAC match is also away at CA Independiente on August 20.
