MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup has concluded its Group Stage as eight clubs move on to the Quarterfinals. Many players delivered outstanding performances, yet these eleven stood out the most in their respective positions.
Here is a look at the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup Best XI for the group stage fixtures:
Goalkeeper
Washington Ortega, LD Alajuelense – Ortega was one of the top goalkeepers in the Group Stage with 14 saves and delivered two clean sheets to close the Group Stage, allowing his club to make a run to a top two finish in Group A and keep its title defense alive.
Defenders
Marcelo Santos, FC Motagua – Santos contributed with one goal, 19 clearances, two blocks, and six interceptions to help Motagua finish top of Group C.
Jimar Sánchez, CD Plaza Amador – Sánchez had 29 clearances, three blocks, and 11 interceptions to help Plaza Amador to an undefeated start in its debut campaign.
Devron García, Real CD España – García delivered one goal, 39 clearances, two blocks, and 11 interceptions as Real España clinched a spot in the Quarterfinals.
Midfielders
Edwin Rodríguez, CD Olimpia – Rodríguez had one goal, one assist, three successful crosses, seven key passes, four tackles won, two clearances, one block, and four interceptions for CD Olimpia.
Douglas López, CS Cartaginés – López contributed one goal, one assist, six key passes, seven successful dribbles, four tackles won, seven clearances, one block, and seven interceptions as Cartaginés finished second in Group C.
Junior Arteaga, Cacique Diriangén FC – Arteaga had three goals from five shots on target, seven key passes, nine successful dribbles, four clearances, two tackles won, two blocks, and two interceptions for Diriangén.
Jorge Serrano, FC Motagua – Serrano helped Motagua to a first-place finish in Group C with one goal, one assist, four tackles won, one clearance, four interceptions, and eight successful dribbles.
Forwards
Gustavo Moura e Souza, Real CD España – Souza was one of the top goal creators with three goals and one assist, helping Real CD España to a spot in the Quarterfinals.
Johan Venegas, CS Cartaginés – Venegas was a key man for Cartaginés with five goals and two assists, to help the Costa Rican side qualify to the Quarterfinals on the final matchweek of the Group Stage.
Everardo Rose, CD Plaza Amador – Rose was clinical in attack with four goals, two assists, four key passes, and 11 successful dribbles to help Plaza Amador top Group A with a perfect record.
