ESTELÍ, Nicaragua — The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued as Real Estelí FC earned a 2-nil victory against CD Águila in Group D on Wednesday at Estadio Independencia in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Real Estelí opened the scoring in the 25’, with Byron Bonilla burying a free kick in the top left corner with a powerful right-footed strike.
Widman Talavera doubled the lead for the Nicaraguan club in the 58’, with a shot from long range to the bottom right corner.
Real Estelí played a man down after Henry Niño was shown a red card in the 61’.
Goalkeeper Jason Vega ended the match with one save to collect his second consecutive clean sheet in the tournament.
Real Estelí improved to six points as it concluded its participation in the 2025 Central American Cup in third place of Group D with a 2-0-2 record.
Águila exited the tournament fourth place in the group with four points and a 1-1-2 record.
