SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with
Real Club Deportivo España winning 4-nil against Sporting San Miguelito in Group B on
Thursday at Estadio Francisco Morazán in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Devron García placed the hosts in the lead in the 8’ with a header off a free kick service from
Jhow Benavídez.

Brayan Moya extended the lead for Real España in the 29’ by converting on a penalty kick
opportunity.

Nixon Cruz struck the third for the Honduran side in the 32’, propelling a fast break opportunity
by lobbing a ball into the final third to Gustavo Moura, who then returned the ball to Cruz inside
the box for the finish.

Gustavo Moura found the back of the net in the 80’, striking off a through ball from Carlos Mejía
to complete a combination that began with Benavídez finding Moura for the hold-up play.

Luis López made five saves to collect his second consecutive clean sheet in the Central
American Cup.

Real España concludes the Group Stage with a 2-0-2 record and six points, clinching second
place in Group B on goal difference. The top two finish also secures a Quarterfinals berth for the
club.

Sporting San Miguelito finished atop the group with a 2-1-1 record and seven points, earning
home-field advantage in the next round.
