It was Real Espana’s first victory of the tournament and gives the Catracho club a third-place finish in the group with four points, while Aguila end the tournament in fourth position with three points.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, the action got going in the second stanza when Ramiro Rocca came in off the bench and tallied his first of the night in the 48’ when Franklin Flores crossed from the left wing and Rocca got enough on his shot to beat Aguila GK Benji Villalobos for a 1-0 lead.
The Flores-Rocca duo would strike again in the 64’ on a similar play, with Flores looping in a cross from the left and Rocca swinging his left foot around and into net to double the advantage to 2-0.
Rocca’s memorable night was completed in the 70’ and again it was Flores playing provider lofting an easy pass into the wide-open Rocca, who rounded Villalobos and finished into net for the 3-0 final scoreline.
