ANTIGUA, Guatemala – CSD Municipal and Real Estelí FC tied 1-1 in the 2024 Concacaf Central American Cup on Thursday night at the Pensativo Stadium in Antigua, Guatemala.

Pedro Altán placed the locals ahead in the 34' with a powerful left-footed strike inside the box.
José Mena struck a header inside the box in the 42’ as the hosts looked to extend their lead on a free kick attempt.
Rudy Barrientos attempted a hit from outside the box in the 58’ to force a save from Real Estelí goalkeeper Jason Vega.
Henry Niño tried a long-distance hit in the 75’ but was just wide of the left post.
Harold Medina struck the equalizer in the 90’+5 with a left-footed strike inside the box to split the points.
Both clubs earned their first point of the campaign in Group D. Real Estelí will face fellow Nicaraguan side Managua FC on August 14. The next encounter for CSD Municipal will come against AD Guanacasteca on August 15.
