MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American has concluded, as LD Alajuelense secured the title for a third consecutive year.
Many players delivered outstanding performances, yet these eleven stood out the most in their respective positions.

Goalkeeper
Bayron Mora, LD Alajuelense – Mora stepped up when LD Alajuelense needed him, replacing injured teammate Washington Ortega in goal in the Final, to help his side collect its third consecutive title. Mora played a major with six total saves in the championship series, includingtwo saves in the penalty shootout, to earn the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank.
Defenders
Guillermo Villalobos, LD Alajuelense – Villalobos was key in the back throughout the campaign for the champions, making eight appearances and contributing 13 successful tackles and six interceptions. He also scored the winning penalty in the shootout.
Alexis Gamboa, LD Alajuelense – The center back was a mainstay in defense for the champions, featuring in 10 encounters to register 22 tackles and seven interceptions. Gamboa was precise with a tournament-high 648 passes and also converted his attempt from the spot in the penalty shootout.
Widvin Tebalán, CSD Xelajú MC – Tebalán was one of the standout performers for the runners-up. The defender racked up 990 minutes in 10 appearances, contributing 33 tackles, 18 interceptions, and two assists, including the series-winning assist in extra time against Sporting San Miguelito in the second leg of the Quarterfinals.
Midfielders
Celso Borges, LD Alajuelense – La Liga’s captain organized the team’s midfield unit in its second successful title defense. Borges featured in the team’s 10 matches, helping defensively with nine tackles and seven interceptions.
Juan Cardona, CSD Xelajú MC – Cardona was one of the main men for Xelajú as the club became the first Guatemalan side to reach the CAC Final. He totaled two goals and one assist in nine appearances, while also contributing on defensive duties with nine successful tackles and nine interceptions.
Jhow Benavídez, Real CD España – Benavídez performed at the highest level throughout the campaign for semifinalists Real España as he finished, as the competition’s top assist provider with five. He played eight matches, scoring one goal, while also posting notable defensive stats with six tackles and 10 interceptions.
Jorge Aparicio, CSD Xelajú MC – Xelajú’s captain was ever-present in the team’s lineup, featuring 986 minutes to appear in each of Los Chivos’ 10 encounters. He contributed one goal, one assist, 12 successful tackles and two interceptions.
Creichel Pérez, LD Alajuelense – Pérez shined throughout the tournament as one of the rising stars to take the Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco. The 21-year-old midfielder got the start in six of eight appearances, contributing one assist, five key passes, six shots on target, two successful crosses, five tackles won, nine clearances, and four interceptions in 616 minutes.
Forwards
Jorge Benguché, CD Olimpia – Benguché was clinical in attack throughout the campaign for semifinalists Olimpia, taking home the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, with eight goals. The Honduran striker was a menace throughout the tournament, scoring four of his goals in the Knockout Round.
Jesús López, CSD Xelajú MC – López starred in attack for Xelajú in the journey to the final, being one of the top generators with three goals, including one in the Final, and four assists in nine matches.
