CD Hercules the 2024 Apertura Tournament Champion of El Salvador will debut in the Central American Cup, marking their first-ever international tournament organized by Concacaf. It will be the 6th Salvadoran club to participate in the tournament and the 31st different club to compete in this event.

Founded on September 25, 1904, in El Salvador, the club was a football powerhouse during the late 1920s in the neighborhood football scene of San Salvador. In this type of football, they achieved a feat rarely seen winning seven-time- consecutive championships, with titles in 1927 (3-0 vs. Chinameca), 1928 (Global score 3-1 vs. Excélsior), 1929-30 (Draw global score 3-3 vs. Excélsior, forfait), 1930-31 (1st place regional), 1931-32 (1st place regional), 1932-33 (1st place regional), 1933-34 (1st place regional).

The titles are divided as follows: 1927, 1928, and 1929-30 are considered First Division titles in El Salvador, while 1930-31, 1931-32, 1932-33, and 1933-34 are considered regional titles (Central Zone of El Salvador).
