Jamaica produces back-to-back champs
Mount Pleasant FA’s 3-2 win on aggregate over Universidad O&M FC delivered a second-straight Caribbean Cup title for a Jamaican club, helping reinforce the strength of the nation in the region.
Cavalier FC won the 2024 edition of the tournament after defeating Cibao FC. There has been a Jamaican team in every Caribbean Cup Final, as Cavalier FC finished runner-up in the tournament’s inaugural edition in 2023.

Dominican football reaches milestone
Universidad O&M FC’s run to the Final marked the second consecutive year a club from the Dominican Republic reached the Caribbean Cup’s biggest stage. This feat represents the country’s rapid rise in regional football and growing consistency.
Three Caribbean clubs secure Champions Cup spot
Mount Pleasant FA, Universidad O&M FC and Defence Force FC all clinched spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. The two finalists will make their debuts in the, with Mount Pleasant earning a bye to the Round of 16 as Caribbean Cup champions.
Defence Force FC, 4-2 winners on aggregate over Cibao FC in the Third Place series, return to the Champions Cup after last appearing in the 2002 edition. The Trinidad and Tobago club won the Champions Cup in 1978 (co-winners) and 1985.
First-time finalists
Mount Pleasant and O&M FC reached the Final for the first time ever, signaling a fresh chapter in regional club football and showing how open and competitive the tournament has become.
