SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Weymouth Wales FC earning a 2-1 victory over Juventus des Cayes in Group B on Thursday at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. 

The visitors took the lead in the 20’ when Shaquille Stewart rose up to knock in a strong header off a corner.

Juventus des Cayes responded in the 26’, as a cross from Ronald Sylvain found Onelson Dorante for the equalizer.

The Barbadian side regained the lead right before halftime, as Stewart secured his brace in the 42’ with a cheeky flick off a low cross to beat the goalkeeper. 

Ronaldo Philippeaux received a second yellow card in the 90’+4’, causing him to miss Juventus des Cayes’ final Group Stage match against Cibao FC next Tuesday. The Haitian club will seek to close its campaign with its first win.

Wales FC improved to three points with its first ever win in the Caribbean Cup. The club will seek to jump into the top two with its two remaining encounters, beginning with Defence Force FC next Thursday.
