MIAMI – Real Hope FA and Cibao FC meet in the semifinals of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup on Wednesday at Campo y Pista PUCMM in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

The two clubs will face each other for the first time ever. Cibao FC has not lost in its last five matches in regular time against Haitian teams in international tournaments.

Real Hope advanced to the semifinals by finishing second in Group A with a 2-2-0 record. Goalkeeper Gooly Elien was a key player with two clean sheets in the final stretch and only allowed two goals in the group stage, earning him a spot in the Best XI.

Defenders Peterson Pierre and Huguens Michel were also named to the group stage Best XI. Pierre was one of the top performers on defense with five steals and 13 clearances while Michel had six steals and 10 clearances.

Angelo Exilus leads Real Hope in scoring with three goals. Exilus scored a brace to help the Haitian club win 2-nil in its final group stage match.

Cibao FC was the winner of Group B with a 3-1-0 record. The Dominican Republic side closed the group stage with a 4-1 win over another Haitian side, Ouanaminthe FC, to claim the top spot in the group over rivals Moca FC on goal difference.

Rivaldo Correa leads Cibao with three goals while Charles Hérold leads the team with three assists. Jean López also has three goal contributions with two goals and one assist.
