MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues with Juventus des Cayes hosting Weymouth Wales FC in Group B on Thursday at Cibao FC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

The match will be the first-ever encounter between the teams. It will also mark the first time Juventus des Cayes plays a club from Barbados, and the first time Weymouth Wales faces Haitian opposition.

The only official tournament club match between teams from Barbados and Haiti happened when Violette AC defeated Paradise SC, 2-1, in the 2000 CFU Club Championship.

Juventus has one draw and one loss in the 2025 edition. Peterson Seide scored from a free kick to deliver the match-tying goal in the team’s latest result, a 1-1 draw at Cavalier FC.

Weymouth Wales debuted with a 2-1 loss to Cibao FC. Andre Applewhaite was their lone scorer in that game, marking the first goal by a Barbadian club in an official regional tournament in nearly 25 years. The last Barbadian goal dated back to November 3, 2000, when Paul Lovell scored for Paradise SC against Violette AC.

Historical series

Juventus des Cayes and Weymouth Wales will face each other for the first time in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup—and in their history.

For Juventus des Cayes, this will be their first-ever encounter against a club from Barbados. Likewise, for Weymouth Wales, it will be their first match against a Haitian side in the history of the Concacaf Caribbean Cup.

There has only been one official club match between teams from Barbados and Haiti in Caribbean club competitions. It occurred in the 2000 CFU Club Championship, when Violette AC defeated Paradise SC 2-1 on November 3 in Group B at Independence Park in Kingston (JAM). The goals for the Haitian side were scored by Peterson Jackson and Ramis Lespinas, while Paul Lovell found the net for the Barbadian club.
