Miami, FL — Concacaf is collaborating with Mount Pleasant FA to provide essential support to communities across Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Relief initiatives will take place around the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup semifinal, when the Jamaican club hosts Trinidad & Tobago’s Defence Force FC at Kingston’s National Stadium on Wednesday, November 5.
Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica on October 28 as a Category 5 storm, causing loss of life and widespread devastation across the island.
Beginning Tuesday, November 4, through match day, an essential-item collection center will be open at the National Stadium Grandstand Food Court from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Fans and members of the public can donate non-perishable food, bottled water, toiletries, solar-powered flashlights, tarpaulins, and other emergency relief supplies.
To encourage participation, fans will receive a complimentary ticket to Wednesday’s semifinal with each donation.
In addition, ticket prices for Wednesday’s match have been reduced to start at JMD $1,000, and all gate proceeds will be donated by Mount Pleasant FA and Concacaf to a recovery fund managed by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), Jamaica’s national agency for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
Fans who are unable to attend the match in person may contribute by visiting supportjamaica.gov.jm to donate or register to volunteer in affected communities.
Concacaf is committed to supporting its Member Associations across the Caribbean and their communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa, ensuring those most affected receive the assistance needed to lay the groundwork for recovery.
