MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup is in the history books following Mount Pleasant FA’s 3-2 aggregate win over Universidad O&M FC in the Final on Tuesday at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
The champions were stellar throughout the tournament, and the runners-up also had a great showing, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.
Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Daniel Green, Mount Pleasant FA
Daniel Green was named the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, for being an integral part in leading Mount Pleasant FA to the Concacaf Caribbean Cup crown.
The forward played a major role throughout the campaign for the Jamaican side that enjoyed a historic group stage, going unbeaten and not conceding as single goal.
He finished the tournament with two goals to help boost a formidable offense that scored 15 combined goals throughout the tournament.
Top Goal Scorer, presented by Aramco: Herard Frantzety, Universidad O&M FC
Herard Frantzety finished the tournament with the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, for his five goals for O&M FC. The Haitian striker was a menace throughout the tournament, scoring once in the final and also in both legs of the semifinals.
Frantzety also record a brace in a 3-1 Group Stage win over SV Robinhood.
Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: Edwarlyn Reyes, Cibao FC
Edwarlyn Reyes shined throughout the tournament as one of the rising stars to take the Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco. The 21-year-old left-back contributed one shot, three successful crosses, four key passes, 15 tackles won, 17 clearances, and 12 interceptions in eight starts.
Best Goalkeeper Award: Tafari Chambers, Mount Pleasant FA
Tafari Chambers was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his outstanding performances for the champions. The Jamaican was a brick wall for a side that recorded four consecutive clean sheets in the Group Stage.
He finished the tournament with 17 saves and was a large reason why Mount Pleasant was so dominant throughout the run to the championship.
Fair Play Award: Universidad O&M FC
Universidad O&M FC was given the Fair Play Award due to being one of the most disciplined teams throughout the tournament. In its Caribbean Cup debut, the Dominican side defied the odds and made a convincing run to the Final, falling just short of its first trophy but securing a spot in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
