PARAMARIBO, Suriname – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Universidad O&M FC earning a 3-1 win over SV Robinhood in Group A on Thursday at Dr. Franklin Essed Stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname.
O&M FC wasted no time as Isaac Báez smashed the opening goal off the crossbar from the edge of the box in the first minute.
The Dominican side doubled its lead in the 21’m when Herard Frantzety snatched a bouncing ball between two defenders and finished it off on the breakaway.
Robinhood responded with a set-piece goal as Murgillio Esajas drilled a strong low free kick in the 25’.
The two O&M FC scorers combined for a third to seal the victory, Frantzety beat the goalkeeper once again in the 90’+4’ to complete his brace.
The result marks the first win over a Surinamese side for O&M FC. The Dominican club improved to first place in Group A with six points in two matches.
Universidad O&M FC will host Moca FC in its next Group Stage encounter on Wednesday.
SV Robinhood will take on Moca FC in its last match of the Group Stage on September 30.
