KINGSTON, Jamaica — The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup concluded with Mount Pleasant FA playing to a 2-2 draw against Universidad O&M FC, with the former securing a 3-2 aggregate victory, in the Second Leg of the Final on Tuesday at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
Mount Pleasant FA became the second Jamaican team to win the tournament after Cavalier FC took the crown in the 2024 edition.
In a thrilling back-and-forth Final, O&M FC played a man down since the 27’ due to Júnior Capellán receiving a red card.
The Dominican side got on the board first when its star forward Herard Frantzety opened the scoring in the 45’+5’.
Mount Pleasant found the equalizer in the 62’ as Warner Brown struck a tap-in that stood after a VAR review.
O&M FC powered into the lead again in the 69’, when Frantzety sent a towering free kick into the area, and Julen Olasagasti rose up to flick a header right over the goalkeeper.
The Jamaican side delivered a blow in the 87’, as Tyreek Magee took his time in the box and lined up a low, left-footed blast for the goal that would end up clinching the title.
By advancing to the Final, both clubs have already qualified to the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. As champions, Mount Pleasant FA secured a bye to the Round of 16.
