MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers saw Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, and Panama secure a spot in the upcoming Concacaf W Championship.
There were many excellent individual performances, yet these 11 players stood out the most in their respective positions.
Goalkeeper
Arden La-Rose (Guyana): La-Rose made an impact for Guyana with 19 saves and only conceded two goals in three matches.
Defenders
Jill Aguilera (Puerto Rico): Jill Aguilera was one of the standouts for Las Boricuas, delivering nine goals, 152 passes, and four tackles.
Katherine Castillo (Panama): Las Canaleras returned to the W Championship thanks in part to the defensive efforts of Castillo, who delivered one goal, eight tackles, and four interceptions.
Mariana Benavides (Costa Rica): Benavides was key in the backline for Las Ticas, and was an offensive threat with two goals and two assists in three games.
Sheyla Flores (Nicaragua): Flores scored four goals, completed three tackles, and provided two interceptions.
Midfielders
Alice Soto (Mexico): Soto was an offensive machine with one goal, seven assists, and 197 passes.
Melchie Dumornay (Haiti): The reigning back-to-back Concacaf Women’s Player of the Year led Haiti to another W Championship appearance by finding the net three times, as well as delivering four assists and completing 114 passes.
Brenda Ceren (El Salvador): Ceren posted five goals from 12 shots on target, as well as providing four assists, one tackle and one interception.
Forwards
Priscilla Chinchilla (Costa Rica): With 12 goals and one assist, Chinchilla was a Game Changer for Las Ticas.
Khadija Shaw (Jamaica): Jamaica’s captain showed her skills in the W Qualifiers, finding the net nine times, as well as getting one assist and completing 91 passes.
Charlyn Corral (Mexico): One of Mexico’s top scorers for club and country, Corral delivered once again with 13 goals and three assists.
