MIAMI, Florida – Both Austin, Texas and Orlando, Florida will host Concacaf Gold Cup matches for the first time this summer at the 2021 Gold Cup.

Austin’s Q2 Stadium, the home of new MLS franchise Austin FC, will be the site of the city’s first official international match.

The 20,500-seat capacity and grass surface stadium will host its first ever match on June 19, 2021 when Austin FC play their home opener against the San Jose Earthquakes in MLS play.

Orlando’s Exploria Stadium will also have an opportunity to host its first Gold Cup matches, however Concacaf tournaments are nothing new to the home stadium of MLS side Orlando City SC.

Exploria Stadium served as the venue for the completion of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League in which seven matches were played and Mexican club Tigres UANL were crowned champions.

The 25,500-seat capacity grass surface stadium had its inaugural match on March 5, 2017 when Orlando City SC faced New York City FC in the first week of the 2017 MLS season.

Exploria Stadium has also been the venue for other notable international matches, including Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers for Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022, the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League and the 2018, 2020 and 2021 editions of the SheBelieves Cup.
