CARIACICA, Brazil The United States fell 4-0 to the Netherlands on Saturday night in their Group D finale at the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup campaign at the Estadio Kleber Andrade in Cariacica, Brazil.

It looked like the first half would end with a 0-0 scoreline, but Sontje Hansen had other ideas and weaved his way through the U.S. defense before firing in a left-footed shot for a 1-0 lead in the 42’.

The momentum stayed with the Netherlands into the second half and Hansen scored his second of the night off a strong finish from the left flank in the 51’ to make it 2-0.

The U.S. looked to respond, but the Netherlands had everything in their favor and it became 3-0 in the 70’ when Mohamed Taabouni hammered in a right-footed shot.

The Netherlands then capped off the night with a goal from Jayden Braaf in the 86’ to complete the 4-0 scoreline.
