ORLANDO, Florida -- Orlando City SC announced Monday the signing of Honduras international Bryan Rochez.

The 19-year-old forward joined the new Major League Soccer club from Real España of the La Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras.

“We’re extremely delighted that Bryan is joining us for the 2015 season,” said Orlando City head coach Adrian Heath.  “He’s a player that we’ve had our eyes on for quite some time now, as we believe that he has the ability to contribute to the team straight away.”

Since his professional debut with Real España in 2012, Rochez has scored 29 goals in 59 Honduran league matches.  He also has netted once in three career CONCACAF Champions League outings, striking in a 1-1 draw with Guatemala’s Municipal on August 21, 2014.

Rochez, who scored three goals earlier this year in qualifying for the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, made his full national team debut in September’s Central American Cup and has six caps.

Other Central American standouts on Orlando City’s roster are Jairo Arrieta (Costa Rica) and Darwin Ceren (El Salvador).
