CARSON, California – Gyasi Zardes has withdrawn from the United States’ roster ahead of its last two CONCACAF final round qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, U.S. Soccer announced Sunday.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has one goal in four career WCQs, suffered a groin strain in the first half of the LA Galaxy's 1-1 draw with visiting Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.

The U.S. (9 points) sits fourth in the Hexagonal table and will face third-place Panama (10 pts.) on October 6, before concluding its CONCACAF WCQ campaign at Trinidad & Tobago (3 pts.) four days later.
