FINAL ROUND SUMMARY

Trinidad & Tobago: With two losses in as many games, Trinidad & Tobago sits fifth in the table, leading only the United States on goal difference (-4 to -5). In their final round opener, the Soca Warriors conceded twice in the second half in a 2-0 loss to visiting Costa Rica. That setback was followed with a 3-1 loss at Honduras, a result that saw T&T and head coach Stephen Hart part ways. Since then, the Caribbean power failed to reach the Gold Cup qualifying playoff and is on its second manager as former national team star Dennis Lawrence replaced Tom Saintfiet, who resigned after a month on the job.

Panama: Panama occupies third place in the standings thanks to a 1-0 win at Honduras and a scoreless draw with visiting Mexico. Fidel Escobar scored the goal against the Hondurans, but he will miss out on the T&T encounter after being released recently from the national team training camp for disciplinary reasons. Depending on Friday’s results, the Panamanians could soar to first place or drop down to fourth.
