PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panama head coach Hernan Dario Gomez named Wednesday a 23-player roster for World Cup qualifiers next month against Mexico (September 1, away) and Trinidad & Tobago (September 5, home).
The squad is highlighted by the inclusion of two players who have scored in both CONCACAF qualifying for Russia 2018 (WCQ) and the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup (GC): forwards Gabriel Torres (1 WCQ goal/2 GC goals) and Abdiel Arroyo (1/1).
Also meriting selection are a trio of competitors with clubs currently playing in the Scotiabank CONCACAF League: midfielders Valentin Pimentel (Plaza Amador) and Jose Gonzalez (Arabe Unido), as well as defender Roberto Chen (Arabe Unido).
