PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panama head coach Hernan Dario Gomez announced Wednesday that he is calling in 22 players for World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica (June 8, away) and Honduras (June 13, home).
The Canaleros currently occupy third place in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying with a 1W-2D-1L record, one point ahead of the United States and the Hondurans.
Seven players have accounted for Panama’s nine qualifying goals and each were extended invitations, including forward Luis Tejada, who has a team-best two goals.
