TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Honduras will bring 18 players to Guatemala for an international friendly against the host on February 10, the Federación Nacional Autónoma de Fútbol de Honduras announced Friday.
Head coach Jorge Luis Pinto’s squad consists of four foreign-based competitors, including defenders Brayan Beckeles and Johnny Leveron, who signed with Mexican clubs Necaxa and Correcaminos UAT, respectively, during the 2015 Liga Ascenso MX Apertura season.
Also meriting selection were midfielder Bayron Mendez and forward Angel Tejeda, each of whom scored in Honduras’ last outing, a 3-1 victory at Nicaragua on January 27, 2016.
The Catrachos have prevailed in their last two games after going winless in five straight.
