AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico – Liga Ascenso MX side Necaxa announced Monday the acquisition of Honduras international Brayan Beckeles from Boavista.
The versatile 29-year-old, known primarily as a right back, had joined the Portuguese club for the 2014/15 season. Before departing, he played in 24 games without scoring a goal.

Beckeles has spent the majority of his career in Honduras, playing for Vida (2006-11) and Olimpia (2011-2014), where he was part of five title-winning sides. He has scored a pair of Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League goals, netting once in each of two matches against Mexico’s Santos, including the game-winner in a 2-1 home victory on August 3, 2011.
