CHICAGO – As a result of an injury to Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris, United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added two-time capped Alan Gordon to the training camp roster ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier against visiting Mexico.

Morris suffered a hamstring strain during the first half of Sunday’s Major League Soccer playoff match at FC Dallas.

LA Galaxy forward Gordon, who has six career Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League goals, assisted on Eddie Johnson’s game-winner in the 90th minute of a 2-1 win over host Antigua & Barbuda in a qualifier on October 12, 2012.

After facing Mexico, the Americans will travel to Central America for a November 15 encounter at Costa Rica.
