SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – Costa Rica head coach Oscar Ramirez announced Friday a 27-man roster for World Cup qualifiers against Panama (June 8, home) and Trinidad & Tobago (June 13, home).
The Ticos sit second in the CONCACAF Hexagonal table with seven points from four games, trailing table-topping Mexico by three points and leading the third-place Panamanians by two.
Goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who is expected to start for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final against Juventus on June 3, and attacker Bryan Ruiz -- the 2016 CONCACAF Player of the Year -- highlight the selection, which also includes three players from newly-crowned Costa Rican champion Herediano.
Midfielder Christian Bolaños, the team’s top scorer in qualifying with four goals, was also called up.
