Panama arrives in New Zealand for U-20 World Cup

AUCKLAND, New Zealand -- After a lengthy journey, the Panama under-20 national team arrived Monday in New Zealand to complete its final preparations for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The 21-player squad held a moderately paced training session for two hours at North Shore United FC.

On May 7, the CONCACAF runner-up will face the host nation in a friendly.

Panama opens its World Cup campaign against Group B rival Argentina on May 30 in Wellington, before facing Austria (June 2 in Wellington) and Ghana (June 5 in Auckland).
