BRADENTON, Florida – Group B at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship started with a bang on Friday as 13-time CU20 champions Mexico rolled to a 7-0 victory over Nicaragua.

Daniel Lopez and Jose Macias each scored a brace and were joined on the scoresheet by Kevin Alvarez, Carlos Gutierrez and Adrian Lozano in the decisive victory for El Tricolor.

Things were much tighter between Jamaica and Grenada, with neither side able to break through for a goal until minutes from full-time when Jamoi Topey scored in the 86’ to hand the Reggae Boyz the three points in a 1-0 triumph.

Group B also produced the first draw of the 2018 CU20, as Saint Martin and Aruba played to a 1-1 final.

Debutants Saint Martin enjoyed a great start thanks to an Akim Arondell goal in the 26’, but Aruba never threw in the towel though and got the deserved equalizer in the 80’ through Glenbert Croes for a share of the points.
