MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica -- Honduras moved into second place in Group B with a 3-2 victory over Haiti in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Monday night.
The win boosted the Central American side to a 2-1-1 record and seven points behind group leader Mexico (4-0-0, 12). The Haitians fell to 0-2-2.
Bryan Rochez snapped a 2-2 deadlock by putting in a rebound of his saved penalty kick in the 72nd minute.
The Hondurans grabbed a 2-0 lead behind goals by Alberth Elis (fifth minute) and Michael Chirionos (38th minute), before Haiti's Jonel Desire took advantage of a poor defensive pass to halve the deficit in the 40th minute.
