GUATEMALA City, Guatemala – With its opposition for the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship determined, the Guatemala under-20 national team will hold a minicamp from November 3-7 at the Guatemalan Football Federation’s Project Goal facilities.
Head coach Carlos Ruiz extended invitations to 27 players for the squad’s fifth training cycle.
Guatemala is set to face the United States (January 9), host Jamaica (January 11), Trinidad & Tobago (January 14), Aruba (January 18) and Panama (January 21) in the CONCACAF event, from which the top four teams will qualify for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Chapines advanced to Round of 16 at the 2011 U-20 World Cup in Colombia, before falling 1-0 to Portugal. They did not qualify for the 2013 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
