United States on verge of winning Group A at CU20

BRADENTON, Florida The United States is on the verge of winning Group A and punching its ticket to the next round after a 6-0 win versus Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Matchday Four at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20.

A second half hat-trick from Anthony Fontana (66’, 81’, 86’) was accompanied by goals from Juan Pablo Torres (46’), Uly Llanez (59’) and Brandon Servania (90’) to give the U.S. the three points.

The U.S. now need just a draw in the group finale against Suriname to reach the Qualification Stage.

Suriname got back on the winning track and now sit in second place after a 2-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago.

Shaquille Cairo (29’) and Brian Elshot (70’) did the damage against the young Soca Warriors.

Puerto Rico continued its resurgence by picking up an 8-0 victory over the U.S. Virgin Islands. A hat trick from Jaden Servania (52’, 72’, 88’), braces by Kevin Hernandez (26’, 56’) and Alejandro Rabell (46’, 85’) and a goal from Kevin Montanez (88’) earned the Boricuas the three points.
