SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador – After a 1-0 win over first-division side FAS on Friday, El Salvador under-20 national team head coach Mauricio Alfaro named his 18-player roster for the Central American qualifying tournament, which it will host July 17-29.
The selection is highlighted by the inclusion of Romilio Hernandez, who appeared in one match at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The 19-year-old midfielder came on as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 loss against host Turkey.
The Salvadorans will open their qualifying campaign on July 17 against Belize at the Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador.
