PUEBLA, Mexico - The third day of play at the 2013 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship will see two teams make their tournament debuts (Costa Rica and Nicaragua), one try to clinch a place in the quarterfinals (Cuba) and another attempt to stay alive (Haiti).

WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 20, 2013
Estadio Universitario BUAP

Group A
Costa Rica v Haiti, 6:30 p.m. ET

Group B
Nicaragua v Cuba, 9:00 p.m. ET

Here are some other storylines to watch:

•  Maykel Reyes was impressive for Cuba against Canada on Monday, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win. Can he keep it going against Nicaragua? The Cubans can clinch a quarterfinal spot with a win or a draw.

•  Haiti had a strong second half against the United States on Monday, but came up short, losing 2-1. It needs at least a point against Costa Rica to avoid elimination.

•  Nicaragua's Carlos Chavarria scored all three of his team's goals in Central American qualifying. Can he lead the way for the Pinoleros in Puebla.

•  Costa Rica's John Jairo Ruiz has been in outstanding form with Belgian second-division side Royal Mouscron Peruwelz. Will his success in Europe continue in CONCACAF play?

The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals, the winners of which will progress to the competition's semifinals and qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.

The 12-team event runs through March 3.
