SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – The Costa Rica under-20 national team traveled to El Salvador on Tuesday in advance of the Central American qualifying tournament for the next CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
Head coach Ronald Mora and a squad of 18 players will be looking to secure a place at the Confederation event, which will determine qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
After appearing in three straight World Cups and finishing fourth in the 2009 edition, the Ticos did not qualify for Turkey 2013.
Costa Rica’s six-game schedule is as follows:
- July 17 v Guatemala (San Salvador)
- July 19 v Honduras (Santa Tecla)
- July 21 v Panama (San Salvador)
- July 23 v Nicaragua (Santa Tecla)
- July 27 v Belize (Santa Tecla)
