After five aptends, Nicaragua will play for the first time ever in the final round of a Concacaf women´s Under 17 Championship as host of the event.
Tournament host team Nicaragua was seeded into Group A, and will face Mexico, Puerto Rico and Haiti.
Managua´s Estadio Nacional is the venue for the sixteen-match competition, which will be played from April 19-29, 2018 and qualify three teams to FIFA U-17 Women´s World Cup Uruguay 2018.
Coach Jeniffer Vanessa Fernandez Ortiz believes that women's soccer in Nicaragua will grow after the U17 Championship.
