The 2013 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship concluded on Saturday with Mexico overcoming Canada 4-2 on penalty kicks, following a scoreless draw, in the final.
Of the 16 games contested during the 11-day event in Montego Bay, Jamaica, it was the only one to end without a goal.
The United States (26 goals) and Canada (24 goals) combined to net 50 of the tournament’s 75 total tallies.
Canadian Marie-Mychele Metivier topped the scoring chart with six strikes.
