Mexico will be appearing in their 12th CMOQ, a tournament they have won seven times, plus a runner-up finish in 2015. Mexico have won three of the last four CMOQs.
El Tricolor’s most memorable moment came in 2012 when they used a first-place finish in the CMOQ as the springboard to a Gold Medal-winning performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where they defeated Brazil in the Gold Medal match, 2-1.
Mexico’s all-time record in the CMOQ is 35W-8D-5L, with 132 goals scored and 37 conceded. Mexico have participated in 11 different Olympic Games, their last coming at Rio de Janeiro in 2016 with a group stage finish.
