Position Title: IT Analyst

Concacaf serves as the governing body of football in this part of the world. It is composed of 41 national associations united by the passion for football, from Canada in the north to Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana in the south.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The IT Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Concacaf IT systems and infrastructure. This role will be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to end-users across various departments. The IT Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, identifying technological solutions, and contributing to the overall success of the IT department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Technical Support:
- Provide timely and efficient technical assistance to end-users via the IT ticketing system. IT support to be handled via various channels, such as in-person, phone, email, or remote support tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Resolve technical problems related to hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Systems Analysis and Optimization:
- Conduct thorough analysis of IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Proactively identify potential system vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, and recommend appropriate solutions to maintain a secure and reliable IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to implement software updates, patches, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Support in the administration of the organization’s football management software
- Assist in the support and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, servers, networks, and data centers.
- Monitor system performance, network traffic, and server status to proactively address any issues or potential risks.
- Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to accommodate future growth and technological advancements.
- User Training and Documentation:
- Develop and update user guides, technical documentation, and training materials to empower end-users and promote best practices.
- Conduct training sessions to familiarize employees with new software, tools, and technologies.
- Data Security and Compliance:
- Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of data security policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist in data backups, disaster recovery planning, and system audits to safeguard critical information.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- + 2 years of proven experience as an IT Analyst or similar role, with hands-on experience in technical support, systems analysis, and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience working with remote monitoring and management platforms.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and security principles.
- Strong foundation in programming languages with the ability to develop and maintain scripts, automation tools, or small applications to streamline IT processes and enhance efficiency.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with software applications and hardware devices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users effectively. Ideal candidate is bi-lingual (English and French or Spanish). Dutch is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with management of Office 365 environments is a plus.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (CompTIA A+, Network+, other industry certifications).
- Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximately travel requirement: 5%
Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
