PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panama will prepare for the resumption of World Cup Qualifying in March with a pair of friendlies a month earlier, the Federación Panameña de Fútbol announced Thursday.
The Canaleros have scheduled a visit to Copa America champion Chile for February 2, before hosting El Salvador eight days later at the Estadio Maracana.
The fourth round of CONCACAF qualifying for Russia 2018 restarts with two matches against Haiti (March 25, away; March 29, home).
Panama, which will host Cuba in a Copa America Centenario play-in game on January 8, currently sits in second place in Group B with 1W-0D-1L record, three points behind table-topping Costa Rica.
