ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – With the Copa America Centenario play-in looming large, Panama went back to work Wednesday, continuing its training program at the Federación Costarricense de Fútbol’s Project Goal facility.

The Panamanians, who will host Cuba on Friday at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez for CONCACAF’s final berth to the historic tournament, are close to deciding their starting XI. So as to finalize that contingent, another scrimmage was arranged with the Herediano under-20 side.

In the 70-minute match, the Canaleros struck three times with Blas Perez, Armando Cooper and an own-goal finding the back of the net.

Head coach Hernan Dario Gomez planned to gather his side one last time in Costa Rica on Thursday morning, before returning to Panama. It will convene again at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez in the evening for an official training session.
