This marks the third time that CONCACAF has named a Female Best XI, with Morgan, defender Becky Sauerbrunn, and midfielder Carli Lloyd being the only players to earn inclusion on each occasion.

Orlando Pride and Brazil star Marta became the first-ever player from a non-CONCACAF nation to be voted onto the Female Best XI, while Canada international Jessie Fleming – who plays for U.S. college team UCLA -- is the only amateur in the side.

Goalkeeper Adrianna Franch; defenders Abby Dahlkemper and Emily Menges; midfielders Allie Long, Fleming and Lindsey Horan; and Marta are first time selections.
