MANAGUA, Nicaragua - All eyes will be on host Nicaragua as the 2018 CONCACAF Under-17 Women's Championship (CU17W) kicks off Thursday with a Group A doubleheader at the Estadio Nacional Denis Martinez.

The Nicaraguans will open its first-ever CU17W campaign by closing the night against Mexico, before Puerto Rico meets Haiti in the curtain raiser.

Puerto Rico v Haiti, 17:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. local)

Nicaragua v Mexico, 20:00 pm ET (8:00 p.m. Local)

Puerto Rico vs Haiti (7:30 PM ET)

- Puerto Rico and Haiti will face each other for the first time in a CU17W.

- PUR will play its 4th game. Last time in CU17W was in Trinidad and Tobago 2008 (1W-2L).

- PUR does not have any record draws and their only victory was against a Caribbean team (JAM 1-2 in 2008).

- HAI will play its 12th match, in its 4th participation (2010, 2013, 2016 and 2018).

- HAI has a record of GP-11 3-W 1-D 7-L, 21-GF 27-GA. Team 3 wins were in Grenada 2016.

- Yarielys Maldonado scored in 4 out of 6 matches in the 2017 Caribbean qualifiers for CU17W (7 goals). She scored 4 goals to Anguilla in the 9-0 triumph played at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium (Puerto Rico).

- PUR won 4 matches in the 2017 Caribbean qualifiers for Concacaf CU17W, two of them by several goals difference: 8-1 to Bahamas and 9-0 to Anguilla.

- Isabel Cacho scored 5 goals in the last 4 matches for Puerto Rico in the 2017 Caribbean qualifiers for Concacaf CU17W.

- HAI won the 3 matches in the 2017 Caribbean qualifiers for Concacaf CU17W, all by 3 goals difference (3-0 to PUR, 3-0 to CUB and 1-4 to BER).

- Alison Hecnary Gonzalez Esquivel (MEX) was the top-scorer in the 2016 Concacaf U15 Girls with 9 goals. She scored 5 goals to Trinidad and Tobago in the 0-11 win. She also scored a brace in the match for the 3rd place against CRC (triumph 1-5).

- Maria Natalia Mauleon was the second top scorer for MEX in the 2016 Concacaf U15 Girls with (7). She scored a hatt-rick to Dominican Republic in the 0-9 win.

- Anette Natalia Vazquez scored 3 goals with MEX in the 2016 Concacaf U15 Girls (2 to the Dominican Republic and 1 to Canada).

- Dania Nicole Perez Jimenez (MEX) scored the only goal (penalty kick) in three friendly matches against USA played in 2017. It was in the 1-1 draw (the others were 4-0 defeat and 0-4). She also scored a brace against CRC in the match for the 3rd place in the 2016 Concacaf U-15 Girls.

- Reyna Rene Reyes Stubblefield played 44 minutes in the FIFA U17 Jordan Women's World Cup 2016 against Venezuela in the quarter final game.
