TORONTO, Canada – After two years with Toronto FC, Bermuda international Reggie Lambe is searching for a new team.
On Wednesday, Lambe was waived by the Major League Soccer club just days before the start of the new season.
The 23-year-old midfielder tweeted: “Enjoyed my time at Toronto, sad to leave the club, wish the lads the best this season.”
In 66 combined appearances with Toronto, Lambe scored five times. He was part of the club’s 2012 Amway Canadian Championship winning side and gained notoriety for netting the title clincher against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
In CONCACAF Champions League play, Lambe has two goals to his credit, striking twice in a 5-1 win over Aguila of El Salvador on August 1, 2012.
