SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador – Less than six months after helping El Salvador to its first-ever win at an Under-20 World Cup, it was announced Wednesday that goalkeeper Rolando Morales has joined Salvadoran first-division side Alianza on a six-month loan from second-division Turin.
Morales was in goal for the Cuscatlecos’ 2-1 victory over Australia at the FIFA event in Rize, Turkey, on June 25. He also guarded the nets in El Salvador’s run to a third-place finish at the 2013 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
The 19-year-old joins Rafael Fuentes and Carlos Bonilla as the trio of goalkeepers on Alianza’s current roster.
