SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – The first-ever UNCAF Inter-Club Championship kicked off Tuesday with a doubleheader at the Estadio Ernesto Rohrmoser.

In the second game of the evening, Fabiola Villalobos scored two goals and Costa Rican champion Saprissa earned a 4-0 win over Pares. Villalobos (31’, 71’) netted the game’s first and last goals, while Katherine Alvarado (40’) and Cristin Granados (53’) added one each.

In the tournament opener, Moravia scored four unanswered goals after falling behind to earn a 4-1 win over UNAN. Andrea Lopez (18’) gave the Nicaraguans a 1-0 lead, but Maria Morales leveled with seven minutes left in the first half. Maria Fernanda Barrantes (55’) put the Costa Rican runner-up ahead early in the second half, with Naomi Molina (63', 70') adding a brace to complete the scoreline.
