FIFA arrives in Panama

PANAMA CITY, Panama - FIFA President Joseph Blatter and Secretary General Jérôme Valcke arrived in Panama on Wednesday ahead of this week's CONCACAF Congress in the Central American nation.

Later in the evening, Blatter and Valcke were honored guests of FIFA Vice President and CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb at the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship semifinal between host Panama and Canada that was played at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez.

The FIFA leadership and President Webb arrived in Panama after a three-day tour of the Caribbean, which included visits to the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba.

The XXVIII CONCACAF Ordinary Congress is scheduled for Friday at the Westin Playa Bonita in Panama City.
